Irizar e-mobility is strengthening their presence in Poland with new supply contracts for electric buses.

Irizar e-mobility has recently signed several contracts with different public transport operators in Poland to supply electric buses. In every case, the model chosen is the Irizar ie bus.

A few weeks ago, Irizar e-mobility signed a supply contract with the operator MZA Varsovia (Miejskie Zakłady Autobusowe sp. z o.o.) for 10 units of ten-metre-long buses. The vehicles, which will operate on the streets of the Polish capital, will be delivered in late 2026. One new feature is that the vehicles will have solar panels greater than 1 kW. The contract also includes the possibility of expanding the order with 10 additional units.

On the other hand, MPK Cracovia (Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacyjne S.A.) has once again chosen Irizar e-mobility electric buses, and they have signed their second contract for supplying 22 new 12-metre-long buses. The new units are expected to start operating mid next year. They will operate in the city centre. MPK Cracovia will have a total of 26 Irizar e-mobility electric buses in their fleet, being as the new units are an addition to the four Irizar ie buses that have been on the road in the city since 2023.

The municipal transport authority of Bielsko-Biała (Miejski Zakład Komunikacyjny w Bielsku-Białej) will also have 12 new 12-metre-long Irizar e-mobility buses. The first deliveries are expected in the first half of 2026.

Likewise, the Polish operator GZM Katowice has decided to modernise their fleet with 31 electric buses, 16 of which will be 18-metre articulated models and the remaining 15 will be 12-metre models. The new vehicles will operate in several cities, including Sosnowiec, Swierlaniec, Katowice and Gliwice.

Lastly, MPK Nowy Sącz (Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacyjne Sp. z o.o.) will add five 10-metre-long electric buses from Irizar e-mobility to their urban transport network. They will operate in the city of Nowy Sącz, and delivery is planned for the first quarter of 2026.

We want to give thanks to all the operators for putting their faith in our electromobility solutions. It makes us happy to see how our electric buses are expanding throughout Poland. We hope that residents can have a comfortable, quiet and environmentally friendly travel experience.”, said Mikel Irizar, Irizar e-mobility Eastern Europe Commercial Director recently.
