The Irizar ie trams drive along the MADRING circuit during the official presentation of the Grand Prix Formula 1 in Madrid

Great excitement yesterday at IFEMA Madrid-Valdebebas. Three Irizar ie trams, 100% electric buses from EMT Madrid, had the privilege of being among the first vehicles to drive along the Madring circuit during the official presentation of the Grand Prix Formula 1.

The MADRING features a 5.4-kilometer track with 22 corners, where speeds of up to 300 km/h will be reached.

Its Turn 12 stands out, known as “La Monumental,” with a length of nearly 550 meters and a 24% banking, making it the longest banked corner in the Formula 1 World Championship.

The event will take place from September 11 to 13 in Madrid.
