The Basque Government visits the city of Shaffhausen to learn about the Irizar electric bus project

Basque Country Minister for Economic Development Arantxa Tapia visited the Swiss city of Schaffhausen today to learn about and analyse the city's electrification project first hand.

The event has also been attended by Hector Olabegogeaskoetxea, Managing Director of Irizar e-mobility, as well as local Schaffhausen institutions.

Irizar will supply 15 zero emission buses, 12 fast charging stations and 16 in-depot charging stations to Schaffhausen.

This is a unique project in Switzerland and Europe as the energy needed for the charging stations will be generated by the Rhine River as it passes through Schaffhausen.
